Starting point: The appointment is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. in Itri, at the “Piazzale Carabinieri di Italia” where it will be possible park the car (free parking available). You will be greeted by a guide who will give you the e-bike and helmet.

Description: An e-bike excursion among the olive groves in the Itri district, the land of a type of olive known as “Itrana” that is used to produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil. With our guide you will be immersed in an area full of intense aromas, aboard an e-bike, a pedal assisted bicycle, that let you enjoy the beauty of the excursion without too much effort, among woods and excellent products.

Who is it for:

The tour involves riding an e-bike on a medium/easy route, on low-traffic trades and mountain paths, and is therefore suitable for people who know how to ride a bike on undemanding dirt roads. It is possible to participate with a pet, a trolley for a maximum weight of 25 kg will be provided. The tour is also suitable for children who are at least 140 cm tall and who know how to ride a bike. For children it is possible to request a special trolley.

Biking

Bike on a stretch of paved road with little traffic in the direction of Sperlonga district. After we will leave the paved road to follow a dirt road that will lead us towards the “Piana di Migliorano” among olive groves and vineyards. Continuing we will enter a cork oak forest before reaching a very panoramic point with a view of the islands of Ponza, Zannone, Palmarola and the promontory of “Circeo”. We will cross a grazing area where we can meet grazing animals, cows and horses, and if we will be luck we could see some wild animals that are on the “Monti Aurunci” Natural Park. We will return retracing the same road until reaching the farm where we can attend the oil tasting

Tasting

The olive known as “Itrana” is typical of the Southern Lazio area, it is used in the kitchen, it can be tasted in brine, or in excellent pates. From the “Itrana” olive is produced an excellent extra virgin olive oil, which contains the scent of the territory between the sea and the mountains. The bike route includes a stop at a farm in the area, for a guided tasting to discover the quality of the product.

It is possible to participate with your pet (up to a weight of 25 kg) thanks to the use of a single-wheel cushioned trolley suitable for the bike.
On request, a van service is available to reach Itri from the neighboring areas: Gaeta, Sperlonga, Formia
