Starting point:  The appointment is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. in Formia – Maranola, at the “via Monsignor Ruggiero” where it will be possible park the car (free parking available). You will be greeted by a guide who will give you the e-bike and helmet.

Description:An e-bike excursion on the Aurunci Mountains in the heart of the Park to discover the ancient traditions of the shepherds. We will reach the top of the Redentore with the breathtaking view from Vesuvius to the Pontine islands. The stop at the shepherd will let us taste the typical cheese of the Aurunci, the “marzolino”

Who is it for:

The tour involves riding an e-bike on a medium/easy route, on low-traffic trades and mountain paths, and is therefore suitable for people who know how to ride a bike on undemanding dirt roads. It is possible to participate with a 4-legged friend in tow, a trolley for a maximum weight of 25 kg will be provided. The tour is also suitable for children who are at least 140 cm tall and who know how to ride a bike. For children it is possible to request a special trolley.

Tour Plan
You follow a mountain road uphill until you reach the top of the Redentore, a statue positioned on one of the highest peaks of the Aurunci Mountains at 1350 meters above sea level. From here the view is truly incredible, from Vesuvius, over the Gulf of Gaeta just below the Aurunci Mountains and up to the Pontine Islands. The descent from the Redentore will take us to the Filetto area where we will visit the shepherd Minchella with a tasting of the typical Aurunci cheese, the marzolino
  • It is possible to participate with your pet. (up to a weight of 25 kg) by a single-wheel cushioned trolley suitable for the bike.
  • On request, a van service is available to reach Itri from the neighboring areas: Gaeta, Sperlonga, Formia
